In Term 2, our dancers dive into the familiar world of competitive dance.

Competitive choreography is set in January and followed by a closed rehearsal at The Burlington Performance Arts Centre at the end of February. Our program attends 3 reputable competitions, plus 1 optional competition for solos, duets and trios. The term closes with a showcase at The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. 

Competitive events are selected based on proximity and venue. We don’t attend events that require hotel bookings and all events must be held at a professional theatre venue.  

While keeping the individual goals and desires of each dancer in mind, JJ leans on her vast network to pair dancers with choreographers that will best challenge, showcase and mentor them.
